Polonnaruwa was the second capital of Sri Lanka after the destruction of Anuradhapura.

And also Polonnaruwa is a ancient and historically valuable city in Sri Lanka.

The city was created by Parakramabahu I in the 12th century.

There are many historical paces in Polonnaruwa.
